Miwa Fujii

APNIC IPv6 Programme Manager
Miwa serves as IPv6 Programme Manager for the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) to assist the Internet community managing issues related to IPv4 address exhaustion and transition to IPv6. She is responsible to launch various projects to support smooth IPv6 transition including outreach activities to multi stakeholders of the Internet community.
Miwa served as an APNIC Training Officer (Research and Development) from 2002-2008. During this period she provided Internet resource management education and training throughout the Asia Pacific. Miwa has developed and delivered, with her colleagues, training programs on IPv6, Internet security, and Internet Routing Registry, among other topics.
Prior to joining APNIC, Miwa worked at IBM Australia as Operations Manager for the IBM Asia Pacific Technical Support Centre. Previously, she worked as a LAN administrator for Jardine Fleming Securities and Warburg Investment Management in Tokyo. Miwa was educated in Japan and Australia and holds a master degree in eCommerce.
Shin Miyakawa

Director, Core Network Technology Team, Network Systems and Technologies, Innovative IP Architecture Center

Shin Miyakawa has worked for NTT since 1995 right after he got Ph.D from Tokyo Institute of Technology, moved to Silicon Valley, California since 1997 to 2002 and now is a director of IP technology development team in Tokyo, Japan. He has been working on IPv6 technology since 1996 with various people in and out NTT, WIDE project, software and hardware vendors, network providers and IETF folks like Steve Deering to let IPv6 be commercialized. He wrote seveal RFCs related IPv6 like prefix delegation requirement, IPv6 ADSL specification and so on, and now he is working on Carrier Grade NAT too.
Panita Pongpaibool

Network Technology Lab, National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC)
Panita Pongpaibool is a researcher at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Thailand. She is currently leading the NECTEC IPv6 Testbed team in the Network Technology Laboratory. Her interests include IPv6 transition and mobile IPv6. She helped establish the IPv6 Forum Thailand in 2004, and has been serving as a secretary of the IPv6 Forum Thailand.
Sureswaran Ramadass

Director, National Advanced IPv6 Centre of Excellence (NAv6)
Professor Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass is a Director of National Advanced IPv6 Centre of Excellence (NAv6). He is also the Chairman/Non-Independent Non-Executive Director and Head of R&D of MLABS Systems Berhad, a public listed company. He is also a Professor and the Head of Network Research Group (NRG) at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

Chalermpol Charnsripinyo

Acting Director, Network Technology Laboratory, NECTEC
Chalermpol Charnsripinyo is a researcher and currently Acting Director of Network Technology Laboratory (NTL) at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). He is in charge of several projects including Internet Information Research (IIR) and Thai Social/Scientific, Academic and Research Network (
ThaiSarn?). He has also involved in a number of research projects and collaborations in the field of advanced computer networking, i.e., Thailand Research and Education Network (
ThaiREN?), Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN), and Trans-Eurasia Information Networks (TEIN2 and TEIN3) which provides a large-scale data communications network for research and education communities. He also serves as a committee of Thailand Research and Education Network Association, Thailand IPv6 Forum and Thailand Next Generation Network (NGN) Forum. He received his Ph.D. in Information Science and Telecommunications from University of Pittsburgh in 2003.
Passakon Prathombutr

Director, Intelligent Transport Systems Programme, NECTEC
Passakon Prathombutr received a government scholarship for a doctoral degree in data communication field in the United States. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1998 with the M.S. degree in Compute Science. Then he got the Ph.D. in Software architecture and Computer networking at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 2003. He is now an ITS (Intelligent Transport System) Program Director at NECTEC. He also serves as a vice-president of Thailand IPv6 Forum and a vice-president of Thai ITS Association. His research areas include the Traveller Information System, Road Safety and Vehicle communication.
Sinchai Kamolphiwong

President, IPv6 Forum Thailand; Director, Centre for Network Research, Prince of Songkla University
Mr. Sinchai KAMOLPHIWONG received Ph.D. degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand. He is a founder and a director of Centre for Network Research (CNR). He is the acting head of Centre of e-learning project. He publishes some of 70 technical papers. His main interest research areas are: NGN,
VVoIP?/Multimedia Networks, e-learning, Network Mobility, and Performance Evaluation. He is a co-founder of Thailand IPv6 forum and serving as a president of the Forum, chair of IPv6
UniNet?, IPv6-APAN-TH, a member for Asia-Pacific IPv6 Task Force. He is associate editors of 3 technical journals. He serves as chairs, co-chairs, advisory boards, and technical committees in various conferences. He was a former head of the Computer Engineering Department, a former vice president of ECTI Associate. He usually gives a take on his research topics in various seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Vasaka Visootthiviseth

Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Mahidol University
Vasaka Visoottiviseth received her Ph.D. from Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan. She is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science,
Mahidol University. Her research interests include IPv6, Mobile IPv6, Traffic Monitoring and Measurement, Wireless Communications,Network Security, and Routing protocols. She is also a committee of IPv6 Forum Thailand.
Nitipong Boon-Long

Vice President, International Direct Dialing Regulatory, DTAC
Nitipong Boon-Long holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Kasetsart University and received his Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering in 2000 from New Jersey, USA. He joined MCI during 2001 – 2007 as a Country Manager . At the present time , he is now working at DTAC in International Business as a Vice president of product & services department. He also serves as a committee on IPv6 Forum Thailand.
